Ali Aliwi earned his Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Diala, Iraq, in 2002. Subsequent to this accomplishment, he assumed the role of Electrical Engineer at a Power Utility until 2010, amassing significant practical experience in the field.
In 2010, Aliwi undertook a Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Smart Power Grid and Flexible AC Transmission Line Controller (FACTS) at Tennessee Theological University. Later, in 2020, he initiated his doctoral studies in Electrical Engineering at Morgan State University, with a research emphasis on False Data Injection Cyber Attacks in Power Systems.
Aliwi's academic and professional pursuits predominantly orbit the sphere of Smart Power Grid Cyber Security. Presently, he holds the position of Utility Program Manager, actively contributing to the development of a resilient power system tailored for the overseas facilities of the State Department.
